Poor 4th quarter dooms Nuggets

The Nuggets were outscored 27-16 in the 4th quarter and it did them in on Tuesday Night.  Carmelo Anthony had an outstanding night with 37 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists.  Marcus Camby was a terror near the basket with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.  Eduardo Najera had a decent game with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.  Yakhouba Diawara added 13 points off the bench.  Andre Miller only scored 5 points, but he grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 13 assists.

The Nuggets moved to 8-5 with this loss.

Nuggets play solid game and prevail 103-88 over Clippers

The Nuggets had a good game shooting the ball (51.9%) and they played great defense holding the Clippers to 36.4% shooting.

Carmelo Anthony led the way with 33 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.  J.R. Smith pitched in with 23 points.  Andre Miller directed the attack with skill scoring 14 points and dishing out 10 assists.  Joe Smith had a fine game off the bench with 15 points and 5 rebounds.  Reggie Evans continues to be a “Windex Man” with 4 points and 14 rebounds.  Marcus Camby only scored 5 points, but he grabbed 9 rebounds and blocked 6 shots.

The Nuggets improved their record to 8-4 with their win on Sunday.

Nuggets too fast for Warriors in 140-129 victory

The Nuggets didn’t play any defense on Friday as the Warriors shot 57% from the floor..but it didn’t matter as the Nuggets won the game!

J.R. Smith led the way with 31 points and 4 assists.  Carmelo Anthony was tough with 30 points, 7 assists and 3 steals.  Earl Boykins was dazzling with 17 points and 10 assists.  Eduardo Najera was solid with 14 points and 6 rebounds.  Marcus Camby was a bundle of energy as he finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocked shots.  Andre Miller pitched in with 9 points and 7 assists.  Yakhouba Diawara added 13 points and 3 steals off the bench.

The Nuggets are now 7-4 after a strong effort in the win on Friday Night.

Denver out-muscles and out-runs the Warriors 115-112

The Denver Nuggets out-rebounded the Warriors 54-34 last night and that helped them pull out a narrow victory over the pesky Warriors. 

Carmelo Anthony led the way with 33 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.  Andre Miller did a fine job of directing the attack with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists.  Marcus Camby was brutal under the basket with 14 points and 16 rebounds.  J.R. Smith had a decent game with 13 points and 4 rebounds.  Eduardo Najera added 11 points.  Reggie Evans was a beast off the bench with 9 points and 14 rebounds in only 17 minutes of play!

The Nuggets improved to 6-4 on the season.

Nuggets sprint past the Bulls 113-109

The Bulls just couldn’t keep up with the Nuggets on Tuesday Night.  J.R. Smith had an amazing night as he scored 36 points.  Carmelo Anthony had a huge game too with 29 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.  Marcus Camby was a beast with 13 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocked shots.  Andre Miller did a fine job of directing the attack with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists.  Reggie Evans provided muscle off the bench with 8 points and 8 rebounds.

The Nuggets improved to 5-4 on the season.
