J.R. Smith to miss 3-4 weeks after having knee surgery

Blogged under Bloglockers, Big Nuggets News, Injuries, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 21 February 2007 at 8:06 pm

J.R. Smith will be out three to four weeks after having knee surgery earlier today.  He has played in 42 games this season and is averaging 15.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.  Smith is the Nuggets best long range shooter as he’s hit 39% from 3-point range.  He is the only player on the Nuggets roster that has hit more than 43 three pointers this season so his absence could really hurt the Nuggets.
