San Antonio Spurs 93, Denver Nuggets 78

Blogged under The NBA Playoffs, Bloglockers, Game Recaps, Front Page by alleyoop on Thursday 3 May 2007 at 2:20 pm

The Nuggets played good in the first half but they were horrible in the 2nd half as the Spurs outscored them 49-30 and that’s the reason for the loss last night.  The Nuggets only shot 37.7% from the floor and that didn’t help matters last night.  Carmelo Anthony led the way for the Nuggets with 21 points and 7 rebounds.  Allen Iverson had an awful shooting night (6 for 22) and he finished with 21 points and 8 assists.  Steve Blake pitched in with 12 points.  Nene was active again last night with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.  Marcus Camby didn’t shoot well (2 for 10) but he finished with 4 points, 19 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 blocked shots.  The Nuggets lost this series 4-1 to the Spurs.

Dissapointing for the Nuggets but tough matchup I think next season will be different we will have the 1st.2nd or 3rd seed and have a great shot at the title. The Nuggets did great this season getting there but they need a bench and a better 3 point shooter trade away Reggie Evans and Najera. Thanks for doing all this alleyoop I talk to you again when the season starts up or theres any trade news Thanks.

I agree with you Berrys. This was just a tough matchup for the Nuggets but I think they played the Spurs tough. I think the Nuggets might look around for a pure point guard either in the draft or free agency because I think that’s all they are missing. They had that player in Andre Miller, but I think they were a better team with Allen Iverson on it. Thanks for the kind words Berrys…it was my pleasure.
