The Nuggets got pasted last night in L.A. but the Lakers. Allen Iverson was only 8 for 23 shooting from the floor and he finished with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists. Linas Kleiza came off of the bench and he was solid with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Marcus Camby stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocked shots. The Nuggets fell to 24-16 on the season with this loss.

The Nuggets outscored the T-Wolves 24-16 in the 4th quarter to prevail in this hard fought game. Allen Iverson led the way for the Nuggets tonight with 35 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Carmelo Anthony also had a outstanding game with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Marcus Camby was tough in the paint as always with 12 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocked shots. The Nuggets are now 24-15 on the season with this win.

Reserve point guard Chucky Atkins might miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a sports hernia. Atkins was brought in to start at point guard for the Nuggets but it just hasn’t panned out. Atkins has played in 9 games this season and he has averaged 17.6 minutes, 4.0 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Anthony Carter has seen a bump in playing time and he’s played very well. Carter has played in 23 games this season for the Nuggets and he’s averaging 29.3 minutes, 8.5 points, 3.2 assists and 5.9 assists per game.

The Nuggets have lost starting power forward Nene’ Hilario indefinately due to personal reasons. He also has had a tumor removed from his body which could have led him to some nervousness. Nene’ has played in only 12 games so far this season and he is averaging 19.8 minutes, 6.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 blocked shot per game. Kenyon Martin and Eduardo Najera will pick up Nene’s minutes until he’s ready to return.

Linas Kleiza has really played well this season with his increased playing time. Kleiza has played in 30 games this season for the Nuggets and he is averaging 22.6 minutes, 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. Look for him to see even more minutes soon if he keeps playing like he is right now. Kenyon Martin appears to be healthy and Coach Karl is doing a good job of limiting his minutes on the court. Martin has played in 25 games this season for the Nuggets and he is averaging 9.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.6 blocked shots per game.
