The Denver Nuggets acquire Arron Afflalo and Walter Sharpe from the Pistons
The Nuggets have acquired 23-year old shooting guard Arron Afflalo and 23-year old forward Walter Sharpe from the Pistons in return for a future 2nd round pick and some cash. Afflalo played in 74 games (8 starts) for the Pistons last season and he averaged 16.7 minutes, 4.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. Afflalo has played two years in his NBA career covering 149 games (17 starts) in which he averaged 14.8 minutes, 4.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. The Nuggets are hoping that Afflalo can replace what Dahntay Jones used to give them off the bench as he now plays for the Pacers. Walter Sharpe only played in 8 games (0 starts) as a rookie last season in Detroit and he averaged 2.5 minutes, 1.0 point and 0.4 rebounds per game. This was a good trade for the Nuggets who get two young players without giving up much.
