Fat Lever was one of the best point guards in Denver Nuggets’ history
Fat Lever only played six years with the Nuggets but he made his mark with the team. He played in 474 games (473 starts) in his time with the Nuggets and he averaged 35.6 minutes, 17.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. Lever was a good all-around player as he played hard at both ends of the basketball court as those rebounds are pretty darn impressive for a point guard. Lever is the Nuggets’ all-time leader in steals with 1,167. He is also #8 in rebounds (3,621), #2 in assets (3,566) and he’s #7 in points scored (8,081) in Nuggets’ history. Lever was only with the Nuggets for a short time, but long enough for him to be considered one of the best point guards in team history.
