The Denver Nuggets have not had much P.T. available for their rookies so far this year. 22-year old power forward Kenneth Faried has played in 2 games (0 starts) for the Nuggets so far this year and he is averaging 9.5 minutes, 3.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots per game. Faried could work his way into more P.T. if he keeps making the most of the minutes he gets like he has so far this year. 23-year old SG Julyan Stone has played in 1 game for the Nuggets this year, working six minutes in which he has 1 rebound and 3 assists.

The Denver Nuggets liked what they saw out of their rookies in 2010-11

26-year old SG/SF Gary Forbes was an undrafted player, but he played well for the Nuggets when given the chance. Forbes played in 63 games (11 starts) for the Nuggets this year and he averaged 12.6 minutes, 5.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. Despite being a tad older than most rookies, Forbes still has a bright future for the Nuggets. 24-year old center Timofey Mozgov came to the Nuggets in the Carmelo Anthony deal with the Knicks. He played in 11 games (0 starts) for the Nuggets and he averaged 6.0 minutes, 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. He played in 45 games (14 starts) overall for the Knicks & Nuggets this year and he averaged 11.6 minutes, 3.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. The Nuggets think that they can develop Mozgov into a pretty good center down the road.

Despite dealing Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks, they still have their sites on the playoffs which means they don’t have much P.T. available for rookies right now. 24-year old center Timofey Mozgov might get some backup minutes behind Nene. He has played in 2 games (0 starts) for the Nuggets since coming over in the Anthony deal and he is averaging 7.5 minutes, 4.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. Mozgov has now played in 36 games (14 starts) overall this season for the Nuggets & Knicks and he is averaging 13.1 minutes, 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. 26-year old undrafted rookie SG/SF Gary Forbes has been sitting near the end of the bench lately after getting some run for the Nuggets earlier this year. Forbes has played in 51 games (4 starts) for the Nuggets so far this year and he is averaging 11.4 minutes, 4.8 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.

Rookie 25-year old SG/SF Gary Forbes has been solid for the Nuggets so far this year. He has played in 35 games (4 starts) so far this year for the Nuggets and he is averaging 12.2 minutes, 5.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. If the Nuggets wind up trading Carmelo Anthony it’s possible that Forbes could have a much bigger role in the second half of the season.
