The Nuggets outscored the Rockets 58-37 in the second half and it helped them surge to victory. Arron Afflalo (20 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists) and Ty Lawson (20 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal) led the way for the Nuggets last night. Corey Brewer (14 points, 4 assists and 2 steals), Kenneth Faried (10 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots) and Danilo Gallinari (10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal) also pitched in for the Nuggets last night. The Nuggets are now 33-27 on the year.

Los Angeles Lakers 103, Denver Nuggets 97

The Nuggets left it all on the court last night, but they fell just a tad short in L.A. Andre Miller led the way for the Nuggets with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal last night. Arron Afflalo (18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists) and Al Harrington (18 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 3 steals) also had solid games for the Nuggets last night. JaVale McGee pitched in with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 1 steal in this game. The Nuggets are now 32-27 on the year.

Kenneth Faried is stuffing the stat sheet so far in April for the Denver Nuggets

22-year old rookie power forward Kenneth Faried is playing really solid basketball so far in April for the Nuggets. He has played in 6 games (all starts) so far in April for the Nuggets and he is averaging 27.2 minutes, 12.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.3 blocked shots per game. Faried has now played in 38 games (31 starts) overall this year for the Nuggets and he is averaging 21.7 minutes, 10.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 1.0 blocked shot per game. He is shooting 58.4% from the floor as most of his shots are coming from in close to the basket. When you look back on the 2011 NBA Draft years from now, Faried might have the best career of all of the players picked.

The Nuggets shot 50% from the floor last night and it helped them down the Timberwolves last night. Ty Lawson (24 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists) and Arron Afflalo (21 points, 1 rebound and 3 assists) led the way for the Nuggets last night. Danilo Gallinari (18 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal) and Kenneth Faried (16 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots) also had solid games last night for the Nuggets. Al Harrington pitched in with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in 22 minutes on the floor in this game. The Nuggets are now 32-26 on the year.

Arron Afflalo is picking it up in April so far for the Denver Nuggets

26-year old shooting guard Arron Afflalo got off to a slow start this year after re-signing with the Nuggets shortly before the season started. But, he’s starting to catch fire in April and that has really helped the Nuggets. Afflalo has played in 5 games (all starts) for the Nuggets in April so far and he is averaging 39.6 minutes, 19.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. He has now played in 53 games (all starts) for the Nuggets so far this year and he is averaging 33.1 minutes, 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. The Nuggets need Afflalo to stay hot.
